A1GP Team New Zealand’s Jonny Reid took victory in both the sprint and feature races at Sentul today in appalling weather conditions. Torrential rain had forced the delay of the feature but after an eventful race Reid took victory from Nico Hulkenberg (Team Germany) and Nicolas Lapierre (Team France). Team Germany now lead the championship by twelve points from Team Great Britain.
Now, it may just be me but I think A1GP needs to think seriously about race scheduling - there is little common sense in scheduling races during the monsoon season, where it is almost guaranteed that the racing will be affected by the weather. Fans have been treated to some superb driving in the rain, admittedly, but there were times today when it looked positively lethal out there.
