Champ Car driver Sebastien Bourdais is in line for a 2008 Toro Rosso seat. according to STR boss Gerhard Berger.
“Yes, he is definitely in the frame for 2008,” Berger told autosport.com. “But not for 2007, as he has a contract. I would like him to honour that, absolutely.”
STR’s 2006 drivers, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed, have still not been confirmed for 2007, however Berger says an announcement will be made by the end of the year. With Berger guiding the career of Bruno Senna (driving for Arden in GP2 in 2007), the possibility of Bourdais and Senna at STR in 2008 is an intriguing one.
