67154.jpg Fernando Alonso has been getting used to life at McLaren - by having an engine problem at the wheel of the MP4-22 at Valencia. Fortunately, however, it was only a small oil leak. Over at Alonso’s former team Renault, meanwhile, Giancarlo Fisichella completed a race distance at the wheel of the R27.
The merger between Carlin Motorsport and DPR has fallen through and DPR will therefore contest the 2007 GP2 championship alone. DPR have signed 22-year old Christian Bakkerud, who competed in British F3 last year, and his teammate is expected to be announced shortly.
Williams test driver Narain Karthikeyan will drive for Team India in this weekend’s New Zealand A1GP race.

“I’m very proud to drive for my country in A1GP,” Karthikeyan said in a team statement. “(Team boss) Frank Williams has kindly agreed for me to race, but my Formula One testing duties for Williams will always be my number one priority.”

Team India have so far failed to score a point this season.
