Super Aguri’s SA07 has failed the mandatory FIA crash test and the team have been forced to delay the car’s official launch. The car is now unlikely to run until late February, assuming that it passes a second crash test once modifications have been made.


Scuderia Toro Rosso 2006 third driver, Neel Jani, has signed for Champ Car team PKV Racing.

“We are very excited to have a driver of Neel’s caliber join PKV Racing,” said PKV Racing co-owner Jimmy Vasser. “Neel has been competitive at every level during his racing career and I am looking forward to helping him through the learning curve during his inaugural Champ Car season.”

Jani will continue to run with Red Bull sponsorship.


Justin Wilson, who finished second in the 2006 Champ Car Championship, has re-signed for the RuSPORT team. Last year Wilson took eleven top-ten finishes, seven podium finishes, two pole awards, a win in Edmonton and the Greg Moore Legacy award that honors a driver’s success and sportsmanship both on and off the track.

DPR have signed Andy Soucek as teammate to Christian Bakkerud for the 2007 GP2 championship. The 21-year old Spaniard won the Spanish F3 title in 2006 and finished 4th in World Series by Renault in 2006.
