Neel Jani will return to the cockpit of Team Switzerland’s A1GP car for the South African round of the series in Durban on 25th February, after sitting out two races due to Champ Car testing and a subsequent non-racing hand injury. Sebastien Buemi drove for Switzerland in Jani’s absence.

Meanwhile Team Canada’s James Hinchcliffe has praised the strength of the A1GP Lola chassis after his spectacular first lap crash at Eastern Creek.Picture credit © 2007 autosport.com |
“The car held up really well during my crash,” said Hinchcliffe. “Lola does a great job constructing these cars and all I’m left with thankfully is a bruised knee and a bruised ego.”
The crash was triggered when Hinchcliffe tangled with Team Singapore’s Christian Murchison.
