Felipe Massa again topped the times in Bahrain to maintain Ferrari’s dominance over Renault duo Heikki Kovalainen and Giancarlo Fisichella. Meanwhile in Barcelona Alex Wurz comfortably topped the times for Williams ahead of test driver Kazuki Nakajima.
IRL driver Marco Andretti says he has no intention of switching to F1 for at least the next two seasons, despite recent tests with Honda.
“Right now I’m just thinking totally I know where I am the next couple years and I’m completely content,” Andretti said.
“I think I’d be cheating myself and the team even if one percent my mind would wander (and I thought) ‘Maybe I should be doing this.’
“I’m not going to be able to achieve my goals.”
Marco is contracted to his father’s IRL team until the end of 2008.
Super Aguri have been forced to delay the launch of their 2007 car, the SA07, from 12 March - in Tokyo - to 14 March - in the Melbourne pitlane. The delay is reportedly due to a late crash test for the new car and also continuing uncertainty over the identity of the team’s main sponsor, which is delaying the colour scheme.
