The Spyker team have launched arbitration proceedings against Super Aguri & Toro Rosso over the legality of their 2007 cars. The Chamber of Commerce in Lausanne, which rules on all disputes involving the Concorde Agreement, will oversee Spyker’s complaint.

Max Mosley is staying remarkably silent on this - most unusual for Max - and it can surely only be a matter of time before the FIA President makes an pronouncement.

Racing Engineering will finally announce their 2007 line-up next Tuesday in Oviedo. Sergio Jímenez is expected to be announced as Javi Villa’s teammate.

Team New Zealand’s Jonny Reid is hoping to capitalise on the absence of Nico Hülkenberg at this weekend’s A1GP race in Mexico and close the points gap to Team Germany. !7-year old rookie Christian Vietoris will be deputising for Hülkenberg, who has F3 commitments.

“Nico has done all of the driving for Germany this season, so there’s been minimal time in the car for Christian,” said Reid, who took a double victory in Indonesia in December.

“Regardless of how well he goes, we won’t be giving up. The points margin is more than we’d like, but hopefully we can close the gap.”

Hülkenberg will return for the final two races of the season.
