Team Malaysia’s Alex Yoong dominated qualifying for tomorrow’s A1GP races in Mexico City with an aggregate time nearly a second quicker than the closest challenger, Team Germany rookie Christian Vietoris. Oliver Jarvis qualified third for Team GBR on his second A1GP outing.

Team New Zealand, currently second in the championship behind Germany and hoping to capitalise on the absence of Nico Hülkenberg, had a disastrous qualifying and ended up 14th.
