A1GP driver Tomáš Enge is in a stable condition in hospital following a serious accident in the ALMS St Petersburg street race yesterday.

“Enge suffered serious trauma, the extent of which is not known at this time, but was awake and alert during the rescue process,” said a team statement.

“He sustained no burns. He will undergo further tests and reviews over the course of the night.”

The Czech driver was leading the GT2 class at the time of the accident.
