Felipe Massa stormed to his first win of the 2007 season in Bahrain today, ahead of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari teammate Kimi Räikkönen. BMW Sauber enjoyed a strong race showing, with Nick Heidfeld fourth and Robert Kubica sixth, sandwiching Fernando Alonso. Jarno Trulli and Giancarlo Fisichella took the final two points positions. Super Aguri, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso all suffered double retirements.

After three races, the drivers’ championship is tied between Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton, all with 22 points. In the constructors’ championship, McLaren lead the way with 44 points, followed by Ferrari on 39 points and BMW Sauber on 18 points.

Nicolas Lapierre finally got to take his first GP2 victory earlier today, with a convincing win from iSport’s Timo Glock and Super Nova’s Luca Filippi. The Frenchman’s DAMS teammate Kazuki Nakajima finished sixth. Filippi now leads the championship from Glock, Lapierre, iSport’s Andreas Zuber and Arden’s Bruno Senna.

Team Germany are the new A1GP Champions. New Zealand’s Jonny Reid - the only driver who could conceivably challenged the dominant German team - won the Shanghai feature race but Nico Hülkenberg’s third place was enough to guarantee the title. Team GB’s Robbie Kerr finished second.
