Ferrari’s Felipe Massa took pole position for tomorrow’s Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona ahead of local hero Fernando Alonso, Kimi Räikkönen and Lewis Hamilton. Jarno Trulli was an impressive sixth, while Renault had an encouraging qualifying, with Heikki Kovalainen eighth and Giancarlo Fisichella tenth.

Bruno Senna took his first GP2 win in Barcelona today in an incident-strewn race. First lap crashes accounted for Jason Tahinci, Karun Chandhok, Xandi Negrao, Giorgio Pantano, Mike Conway, Andreas Zuber and Luca Filippi, and most of the survivors pitted under the subsequent safety car. iSport’s Timo Glock opted to stay out and ultimately this probably cost him the race victory. Javi Villa will start on pole for tomorrow’s sprint race.
