ASM’s Romain Grosjean is on pole position for today’s F3 Euroseries race at Mugello, with teammate Tim Dillmann alongisde him on the front row of the grid. Renger van der Zande starts third, with two more ASM drivers, Kamui Kobayashi and Nico Hülkenberg fourth and fifth.
David Coulthard has defended McLaren in the ongoing Stepneygate row. The Scot says his former team have too much integrity to be involved but that the repercussions of the whole affair are bad news for F1.
Coulthard fears Formula One’s image has been tarnished, adding: “In my view the whole saga is disappointing. This isn’t a Hollywood movie where when you get to the end credits and it’s the end of the story. This could have a long-lasting damaging effect to the integrity of the sport.”
You just wonder what twist this saga is going to take next…
