BMW Sauber test driver Timo Glock went fastest at Jerez yesterday, on the first day of the final F1 test of the 2007 season. Tonio Liuzzi was second quickest for Toro Rosso, ahead of Sebastien Buemi for Red Bull.

A winding-up order is to be served on the company behind the Grand Prix Masters series. The action will be heard in London on 28 November. No races have been held since last year.

Jonny Reid set a new A1 lap record around the Silverstone National circuit yesterday, beating the time set by Alex Prémat in August 2005, as the final test before the start of the new season got underway. Reid put the New Zealand car ahead of India, Netherlands and France.

The FIA has published a revised calendar for the 2008 F1 season.

Looks like the traditional mid-season back-to-back European races have gone - personally I rather liked that and it stretches the calendar out to a ridiculously long season.
