Race stewards in China are investigating Lewis Hamilton’s Fuji victory after Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost complained to them on the basis on a Youtube video of the Webber/Vettel incident.
“You could see quite clearly that Hamilton slows down quite unexpectedly,” said Tost.
“Look at the video. Sebastian would have had to have gone between the cars (Webber and Hamilton) and there was no chance. It was totally unexpected. It looked like Hamilton was stopping, that is why I went to the stewards.”
The words boo and hoo spring to mind.
Nico Hülkenberg may do another year of the F3 Euroseries rather than move up to GP2, after a disappointing season for the A1GP reigning champion. Hülkenberg also denied he would be returning to the A1 series.
“I won’t do A1GP again,” he said. “When you had a season like we had, you can’t really do better than that.
“The team has nominated Christian (Vietoris) as the lead driver, so it would not make sense for me to come in and do one or two races.”
Team Germany scored just seven points at the first race of the season at Zandvoort.
