Silly season has been rather muted this year with all the political shenanigans but now we’re into the winter it has resumed full force in relation to where Fernando Alonso is going to be in 2008 and who will be replacing him at McLaren. After being linked with RBR and former team Renault, Alonso is now being linked with Honda as a replacement for Rubens Barrichello, who in turn would move to sister team Super Aguri replacing Anthony Davidson. Unsurprisingly, Honda have denied it.
BMW Sauber are reported to be testing a number of drivers at Jerez this month with a view to replacing Toyota-bound test driver Timo Glock. The list is rumoured to include GP2 driver Javi Villa, F3 drivers Marko Asmer and Nico Hülkenberg, and former F1 driver Robert Doornbos.
