There has been a rash of signings for the 2008 GP2 series this week. iSport have confirmed Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok, Trident have confirmed Mike Conway, Super Nova have confirmed Christian Bakkerud for the new GP2 Asia series, which kicks off in January.

Sam Bird, who finished fourth in the 2007 British F3 series has signed for Manor Manorsport to contest the 2008 F3 Euroseries.

“I’m absolutely thrilled,” (Bird) said. “There was a case for remaining in the UK series where I did well in my rookie year and I know the tracks, tyres, and overall set-up.

“However, given my longer-term ambition in this sport, we felt that I needed to remain on the steep learning curve I have thrived on for the last few years.”

Bird’s 2007 team, Carlin, will also enter the Euroseries in 2008.
