The Taupo circuit in New Zealand, which is due to hold the next round of the A1GP championship in two weeks time, has been hit by two earthquakes this week. The track is now inspected to assess any damage.

Despite the 2008 F1 entry list being published last week, Super Aguri insist they have still not signed contracts with Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson.

A team spokeswoman told autosport.com: “The contracts of both drivers are still under negotiation.

“It is the team’s intention to retain both for the sake of continuity and because we are very satisfied with them. But no contracts have been signed yet.”

At least some of the uncertainty relates to the ongoing dispute over customer cars.
