Romain Grosjean has taken pole for the inaugural race of the new GP2 Asia Series in Dubai, ahead of Bruno Senna. The two are likely to be the main contenders for the championship title.

Former McLaren teammates Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have been busy taking pops at each other, indirectly at least.

“He showed me just how not to behave as an F1 driver,” Hamilton told the Associated Press at this week’s Valencia test.

The report added that Hamilton said he hoped ‘he would act more professionally than Alonso if put in the same situation as a reigning world champion working with a rookie team-mate’.

A cynic would argue that a double world champion should have easily got the best of a rookie driver…
