A1GP championship rivals Loïc Duval and Jonny Reid took the sprint and feature race pole positions respectively for tomorrow’s races at Eastern Creek, Australia.

Duval took sprint race pole for Team France ahead of Switzerland’s Neel Jani and South Africa’s Adrian Zaugg, while Reid took the feature race pole for Team New Zealand ahead of Jani and Great Britain’s Robbie Kerr. Team GBR are running at something of a disadvantage this weekend, as race engineer James Goodfield is in hospital with a broken leg after being struck by a tyre gun hose as Team Portugal were practising pit stops last night.

‘Being without your race engineer is a big disadvantage,’ Kerr said. ‘We make all the important decisions on how the car should be set up for the race together, but the team pulled out all the stops and now I just want to go out and get a couple of good results for them and James.’

Team GBR are currently 8th in the championship.
