Fairuz Fauzy took his first win in the GP2 Asia series today, ahead of Bruno Senna and Vitaly Petrov. Sebastien Buemi, meanwhile, inherited yesterday’s feature race victory from Luca Filippi after the Italian was excluded for using his teammate’s tyres during a pitstop. It was an eventful weekend for the series, as wet weather and track problems led to repeated safety car periods.
Oliver Jarvis will return for Team Great Britain as the A1GP series moves to Durban, South Africa next weekend.
“I’m delighted to be back in the British car and I’m especially looking forward to the Durban event,” said Jarvis. “I had the opportunity to do the rookie session in Durban last year and it’s a fantastic street track in a beautiful setting, so I’m really looking forward to racing there this year.”
The team are currently sixth in the championship.
