Testing for the 2008 GP2 season got underway at the Paul Ricard circuit this week, with Ben Hanley (Campos), Javi Villa (Racing Engineering) and Romain Grosjean (ART) setting the pace in the new-for-2008 car. Pastor Maldonado (Piquet Sports) had set a fast time on Thursday but his car was excluded for a technical infringement.

GP2 testing continues at Barcelona next week.
