Kimi Raikkonen bounced back from a lacklustre display at the Australian GP last weekend to take a resounding victory at Sepang today. BMW’s Robert Kubica was second, ahead of McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen. Raikkonen’s Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa exited into the scenery after starting from pole position. Jarno Trulli took a superb fourth for Toyota, ahead of the second McLaren of Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton leads the championship after two rounds.
DAMS driver Kamui Kobayashi took his first GP2 Asia victory at Sepang today, ahead of ART’s Romain Grosjean and yesterday’s winner Vitaly Petrov. Bruno Senna set the fastest lap. Grosjean now leads the championship by eleven points from Petrov.
