Former F1 World Champions Jody Scheckter and Sir Jackie Stewart have suggested beleaguered FIA President Max Mosley consider his position in the wake of last weekend’s lurid allegations in the News of the World.

Jody Scheckter said: “There is absolutely no question in my mind Mosley should resign.”

And Sir Jackie Stewart, who has had a series of disputes with Mosley, added: “I just think he has to look very carefully at it and address his future.”

Mosley has apologised by letter today to members of the FIA for any embarrassment caused by the recent revelations.
