Mika Mäki has won the first F3 Euroseries race of 2008, ahead of Charlie Kimbell and Edoardo Mortara. The Mücke driver inherited the lead of the race after polesitter Nico Hülkenberg retired; it was a race to forget for ART with Jules Bianchi also retiring, James Jakes finishing twelfth and Jon Lancaster suffering a huge accident on lap 6.

Renger van der Zande starts tomorrow’s race on pole position thanks to the top-eight reversed grid, with Mäki’s teammate Christian Vietoris alongside.
