Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Vettel has been confirmed at Red Bull for 2009, as replacement for David Coulthard. The Scot announced his retirement at the British Grand Prix.

Luca Filippi has been confirmed as Yelmer Buurman’s replacement at the Arden GP2 team and will race for the team at this weekend’s German Grand Prix. The Italian driver recently lost his seat at ART, being replaced by Sakon Yamamoto.

In the F3 Euroseries, meanwhile, ART are appealing Nico Hülkenberg’s exclusion from last weekend’s first race at Zandvoort. The German driver won the race but his car was found to be 3kg underweight in scrutineering. ART claim the weight loss was due to the on-board fire extinguisher accidentally going off.
