Romain Grosjean won yesterday’s eventful GP2 feature race at Spa on a day of misfortune for many of the top runners. Bruno Senna was hit with a drive-through penalty after being released from a pitstop in what was judged to be an ‘unsafe manner’ (in GP2, unlike F1, such incidents tend to be met with more of a punishment than a fine after the race), while Giorgio Pantano - who had suffered engine problems dropping him to 10th - managed to take both himself and Lucas di Grassi out of the race after passing Roldan Rodriguez. Pantano was subsequently both excluded from the feature race and from today’s sprint race. Andi Zuber, who finished third, was also excluded from the feature race for ‘unauthorised repairs’ to his car.

Durango driver Davide Valsecchi was kept in hospital in Liege overnight after a huge crash at Stavelot but is not thought to have suffered any serious injury.
