Lucas di Grassi won today’s GP2 feature race at Monza ahead of Pastor Maldonado and Sebastian Buemi, on the day that Giorgio Pantano took the 2008 GP2 championship despite losing a likely race victory after receiving a drive-thru penalty for crossing the white line while leaving the pits.

The race started under the safety car due to the wet conditions but as the track dried Bruno Senna capitalised to move up the order to fifth behind Romain Grosjean. In the end, however, he was not able to finish high enough to take the championship fight to tomorrow’s sprint race.
