Sebastian Vettel took his first pole position - and the first for Toro Rosso - at Monza today, ahead of McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen and RBR’s Mark Webber.

The qualifying session was hit by heavy rain and a number of front-runners suffered as a result with championship rivals Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton starting sixth, fourteenth and fifteenth respectively. Toyota and Toro Rosso were the only teams to get both drivers into the top ten.
