It was another good day in Barcelona for Nico Hülkenberg today as he came another 10 points closer to taking the 2008 F3 Euroseries championship with victory in the first race of the weekend. The ART driver finished ahead of Manor Motorsport’s Sam Bird and Mücke Motorsport’s Christian Vietoris but, crucially, championship rival Edoardo Mortara finished ninth and out of the points.

Bird’s teammate Kazuya Oshima starts on pole for tomorrow’s race.
