Jules Bianchi took a dominant home win at Le Mans today, ahead of Sam Bird and Mika Mäki. The French driver finished nearly eighteen seconds ahead of Bird, but it was a less successful day for his ART teammates, with Jon Lancaster and James Jakes finishing thirteenth and fourteenth respectively and Nico Hulkenberg finishing twenty-fourth after stalling at the start.
With Edoardo Mortara finishing out of the points in tenth, there was no change at the top of the championship table and Hulkenberg becomes the 2008 champion with one round to go.
