With the news that Red Bull has placed another of its junior drivers, Mikhail Aleshin, in the new F2 category along with Robert Wickens, I’m getting a bit nervous about the future of GP2. Common sense suggests that two such similar categories cannot coexist with the same level of success. As a GP2 fan, I’d hate to see it lose its appeal - and lose the best upcoming drivers to F2.
